December 1, 2011 at 12:04 amOk, still working on this. Seems like one issue gone and another presented itself. My 5th “Reel” mysteriously goes blank. I can hear the audio, but there is no video.
Also tried to reconnect to original media (didn’t help), duplicated the project, copied into a new sequence, exported XML and reimported (for a new project)…
*** sigh *** has anyone else run into this?

December 1, 2011 at 12:39 amNot sure how you reconnected the media but try this:
Create a new event, import original media for that “reel”, take old event offline, relaunch and reconnect.

December 1, 2011 at 5:23 pmOk, seems to not be sucking up memory, or causing my footage to disappear any more. I’m getting funky messages in the console (which I’ve been monitoring) which have to do with FigTime?
One of these days, I’d love to just pick the brain of an apple engineer for FCPX…

December 8, 2011 at 9:41 pmHi Matthew
I found this thread by doing a quick Google for the error I have :
Final Cut Pro: void CGPathAddArc(CGPath*, const CGAffineTransform*
I have the exact same spec iMac as yourself and just booted up FCPX and get the same errors as you are having in the console, while accessing files on the secondary 2TB Internal HDD
When processing a small 5 minutes video to share FCPX crashes and freezes the whole iMac, which then needs to be switched off and rebooted.
This the full error that appears in the console every second FCPX is running:
08/12/2011 21:37:49.837 Final Cut Pro: void CGPathAddArc(CGPath*, const CGAffineTransform*, CGFloat, CGFloat, CGFloat, CGFloat, CGFloat, bool): invalid value for start or end angle.
Sorry but I don’t have a fix as yet, but thought would let you know you are not the only one with suffering with the error.
Will keep you updated if I find a fix..
Cheers
Jules

December 11, 2011 at 7:57 pmHi
After clearing all the duplicate and corrupt fonts, from within my Font Book. Then after backing up the files within HD > Library > QuickTIme : I then removed them all, and now FCPX works fine when sharing (no crashing ) and no errors showing in the console at all.
Hope this helps.
Regards
Jules
