    it is like using a butter knife to do keyhole surgery. It might be a very beautiful item, but essentially too many frills to get to the meat

    FCP 7.0.3 on SL is awesome. Install it clean and keep this config with FCP 7. Do it to a partition or another startup disk. Keep it! It’s really stable and works with all the plugins that were written for it. Just dual boot.

    It will run on every one of our computers for a very long time, and there will be a future where it won’t run on future OS’s. Even machines, but that later than sooner I’ll wager.

    I keep an up to date clone of my system drive on a shelf just waiting for the day that Apple breaks FCP.
