November 12, 2010 at 3:24 pmDo you have 1.4 for AE and 1.2 for FCP installed on the same system?
You have to pick one or the other.

November 12, 2010 at 6:17 pmYou could try the 1.4.1 update. Make sure you uninstall all the folders. Read below.
This is from an email that Red Giant sent me. It didn’t fix my situation but maybe it will fix your’s.
1) Follow along with: https://www.redgiantsoftware.com/support/faq/product-specific/magic-bullet-looks/175/
2) When you get to the Get Info section, please follow the following steps
3) Open the sharing and permissions tab
4) Click on the padlock to unlock the sharing and permissions.
5) Click on the “+” icon
6) Add in any account that isn’t greyed out
7) Change the permissions to read and write, Leave “Everyone” as Read-Only
8) Click on the wheel icon next to the “+”
9) Select apply to enclosed items. (if applicable)
