July 20, 2006 at 9:41 pmOk, that’s interesting. They are DVD-Rs, Sonic brand- we buy them in bulk . The speed is 8x- is that too high?

July 20, 2006 at 9:52 pmHigher burn speeds are more prone to write errors. For the least chance of burning errors, burn at the lowest speed available.
I’ve not heard of the Sonic brand of DVD media, so I don’t have any idea of its quality level. Some well regarded brands are Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, and TDK. You can find out more about DVD media quality by researching user reports at https://www.videohelp.com.

July 20, 2006 at 10:09 pmI just tried burning at 4x, and that didn’t seem to help. But we don’t have any other DVD brands here, so I’ll give my boss the head’s up. I’m sure he’ll want to try out some good DVDs to make sure. It’s good to know either way.
Thank you again for all your help!!!
