July 28, 2007 at 4:32 pmPersonally I would spend about $150 get a small HD fedex it back and forth, that way you just export self contained ref movies. But the most important recommendation is to talk to your sound guy. Unless someone has normalized and balanced your audio clip to clip he/she may want individual audio files. I have never had audio sweetened as a whole chuck always clip by clip and then overall. Unless it was all shoot at the same time, with the same mic, and nothing really changed.

This is only to give a small movie that serves as a picture refference for the audio-ingeneer. Appart of this movie the audio-man needs all the original audio of the film (OMF or so) to produce the final mix. A friend of mine helps me some times with the audio and what i provide him is that: an OMF of the sequence, and a very small QT movie. Hi insist in the small size so his PC don’t loose resources playing the file.
