I was hoping you could give me a top level overview, or post the steps you perfected in getting fcp video to work as alpha in flash.. to work. I am now starting on the journey you’ve finished:(camcorder video into FCPro [5.1], key out [green, or blue] (don’t render >smile) create alpha [what I’m not completely sure about, does FCP create that automatically from the key filter?], export V6, bring into flash cs3 for transparent video over my flash bkground.
if you could just give me a top-line overview/step-by-step, I know I’d appreciate it, as would, I’m sure many other folks as this is becoming a popular thing to do with video.
Thank you for your time, best,
Jimfcpro 5.1

January 14, 2008 at 7:07 pmHelp! I’m trying to export my green screen footage from FCP. I see most of the posts on here, the person is using FCP 5 and I’m using FCP 6. I’ve tried exporting to Animation using millions of colors+ and when I bring it back into Final Cut, no alpha mask. I tried exporting as none and only about a quarter of the mask was there. Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried not rendering the timeline before exporting?
