April 8, 2008 at 4:58 pmPatch no longer needed. Just update to Episode 4.4.2.
If you want the preset, let me know but you’ll need 4.4.2 to use it.

April 8, 2008 at 5:16 pmI”m on 4.4.2 but DG says my black levels are still too high. My editing system is Media 100…I also have FCP, but can’t seem to get my blacks any lower.

April 8, 2008 at 7:56 pmBlack level is something you’d need to adjust in the NLE. Look at a waveform and see what’s happening. It may be a specific scene or it may be overall. You might need to get that detail from them. I’ve actually found cheating black lower than 7.5 works. Take it to near 0 if you have too.

April 28, 2008 at 8:47 pmI used the specifications listed and in doing so, it took a 32mb quicktime file and turned it into a 5mb mpeg2 file. That does not seem right. Can somebody please help? I am trying to find the settings to allow Episode 4.2.2 to take quicktime files and transfer them to mpeg2 for DGFastchannel so I can prove to my folks that this is the software we need to purchase to do this for us. Please help!

July 22, 2008 at 1:32 amHey Gary!
I’m on Episode 4.2.2
(will be soon, i have to make this work before my boss will purchase)
WOuld you mind sending me the pre-sets.I have FCP 5.1 with 720×480 Quicktimes using the MiniDv Codec.
I’m trying to broadcast to DG SpotCentral.
I will be so happy if this improves broadcast quality!
Is there anything I can do for you, would you be interested in hosting these files on a public ftp server? (I don’t have a public server, but I might be able to help you use one like box.net)
