I tried burning 2x speed, but that didn’t make a difference.

How can I see the bitrate?

There are 2 free tools you can use:

    Bitrate Viewer

    MPEG Streamclip

Don’t worry about the Quicktiome playback module for MPEG Streamclip, you can find out the bit rate info without it.

Bitrate Viewer is usually excellent, but sometimes it gives odd results. It’s a good idea to run your clips through both programs and examine the results. It takes MPEG Streamclip a long time to examine your file (about 10 – 15 minutes for a 2-hour clip). Bitrate Viewer takes about 5 minutes for a 2-hour clip.

Any Peak bitrate over 9 Mbps in Bitrate Viewer is cause for concern. I would be worried about anything over 8 Mbps reported by MPEG Streamclip.

The Bitrate was (under ‘Peak’) 12119.

What can I do to fix it so I can finally burn the dvd in good quality?
