I have never had to do this, but I believe you can make a new BPAV folder from those MP4 files through the Clip Browser software.

But in this case the mp4 itself might be damaged. Creating a BPAV should only work if the metadata is damaged or missing. VLC should be able to play the mp4 otherwise.
