More good news!!! I also can’t stand goofy menus where goofy menus aren’t needed. It sounds like the unit I’ve been wanting for a long time. Now, if I could just afford it…

Look around… you can buy these for CHEAP some times. Literally for about $100. Usually you can find someone that bought it for their home theater setup and they have absolutely no idea it’s a treasured post-production facility item. I bought both of mine used years back. The first one wasn’t as cheap as the second one, but still far less than the cost of new and they’re both still running strong. I discovered this unit on my own back a couple years ago and I don’t think I’ve ever mentioned it in a forum post before… consider it a secret gem!
But shhhh, don’t tell anyone about this gem, LOL!

That would be a good buy… So far I’ve found only a remote available on Ebay. We’ll keep this one to ourselves.
THNX again…

Both my recorders already had the magic dot so I didn’t need to upgrade it myself.
Looks like completed eBay auctions had it from low one-hundred area to mid two-hundreds area. Great deal if you can find one used. Definitely worth the search and waiting.
