October 26, 2011 at 8:20 pmAsk your replicator how they handle it. Flagging your master for CSS when you author it prepares it for CSS. Step two of the process “activates” the CSS, which is done when they are replicated. The CSS cannot be added at replication if the master has not been flagged for CSS when it was authored.
The exception is that I have seen some replicators and other companies that re-author a DVD after the fact to add the CSS flag. This is more complicated than just doing it from the start when you author the master.

October 26, 2011 at 9:48 pmIf you’re being charged a cent for CSS, your being ripped off. Replication is super cut throat. Point is moot really since CSS is a complete waste of energy. I never include it unless the client absolutely insists on it anyway.
But lets not make this into rocket science…replication is cheap now. For 1000 units you shouldnt being paying more than $1200…with or without CSS if you do the research

October 26, 2011 at 10:20 pmclient is insisting on CSS so i’m just trying to cover myself, Matt’s explanation seems to cover it i think, if i flag the DDP for CSS and send it the replicators they will do the rest FOC, or send me a bill which i will pass onto the client
