DVCPro HD 720p60 corrupt

Hi Roberto,
I might be totally off base here but just a quick observation – you stated that your project(timeline?) is DVCProHD 720p60 and you’re editing DVCProHD 720p24 quicktime movies. The project is 30 minutes in length but only exports out to 12 minutes for a 720p24 file – the math on those numbers 12/30 = .4 is very similar to 24/60 = .4 , is there some sort of framerate converion FCP is doing?
Shane/Jeremy – am I way off base with this logic?

i wish that was the case but I’ve already exported the movie before and never had this problem…this is my sequence setup
FRAME SIZE: 960×720
ASPECT RATIO: HD(960×720) (16:9)
PIXEL ASPECT RATIO: HD (960×720)
EDITING TIMEBASE 23.98
QT VIDEO SETTINGS > COMPRESSOR > DVCPRO HD 720p60my project setup is:
FORMAT: HD
RATE: 23.98 fps
USE: DVCPRO HD-720p24once again, already exported thru QT conversion and compressor and it’s fine, it’s just when I want to export using FILE>EXPORT>QUICKTIME MOVIE

No not at all, but amazingly, FCP does add proper pulldown when you put 720p23.98 footage in a 59.94 timeline. It’s incredible. It doesn’t sound like it’s Roberto’s problem though.
Roberto, did you trash the render files?

It WORKED!!! I trashed the rendered files, and went ahead and was able to export my whole movie in the correct codec…i have no idea why the rendered files were giving me problems…another time I’ll look into it…now i gotta compress, burn a dvd and mail it today for a film festival.

excellent!
a lot of the problem solving with anything computers doesn’t make
any sense at times. I just jot it down to have on file in case
it happens again I can look to my notes.
