DVCPRO 50 vs DigiBeta

Having shot on broadcast level cameras (which we already do) wouldn’t a viable solution be also dumping to DigiBeta for the final Master. I am really concerned about physical tape durability. We archive all our Masters but they are used as reference material from time to time. I’ve heard alot about tape drop outs on the DVCam medium when they are accessed too many times.
