August 5, 2011 at 8:56 pm[Paul Provost] “If I grade r3d in color, render prores444 1080, send to fcp, I supposedly have rgb prores444, right?”
As long as there is no way to chose the Color Space on exporting, I guess you get RGB whenever you render in RGB (AE, Motion, etc).[Paul Provost] “If I then export this as a self contained qt from fcp do I then have an rgb prores 444 that was rendered 10 bit? Without any yuv involvement?”
FC has three render options:
– 8b RGB
– 8b YUV
– 10b YUV.
Any material will be converted to the chosen option before processing. What kind of Prores444 (RGB/YUV) puts FC out?
No idea.
How to convert a Prores444/RGB toa Prores444/YUV?
No idea?
