March 17, 2008 at 12:14 amI know 🙁 Everyone seems to rave about this product.. Their hardware provides uprezzing and deinterlacing upto 1080p.. But I need to uprex from 1080p upto film res – 4K etc..
That seems to only provided by their software..If someone is reading this, I’d love to buy a license – so I would buy the PC that the license is tied..:-) Hope this works,,

March 17, 2008 at 1:22 amI just realized that, we did some tests for a feature up rez. In this case the material originated on DV and was being uprezzed for a 2K film output. But, we found that the last jump in our uprez was best done using the capabilities of the laser film printer, which has a certain amount of ability to blow up images. The machine we tested with was a lasergraphics unit. It actually did a better job of uprezzing than the Algosuite software although it has no anti-aliasing or deartifacting capabilities. However, the deartifacting can be done using other software plug-ins. I haven’t found anything to match the algosuite anti-aliasing, but it may be that deartifacting and using the laserfilm output to blow up the image or combining it blow-up capabilities with something like Red Giant’s HD product might work for you. If you’d like information on the Lasergraphics unit, I can put you in touch with some people there.
Best,
Eric
