Yikes or aharon can you help me with this displacement. I basically have the effect down pat. Thanks btw the fractal noise is moving it looks great i really like it. But i dont have that heat wave looking effect to help sell the shot even more. How do I apply a displacement map to this footage. I have 2 black layers with the spherize fractal all those effects above my footage of myself in my backyard pretending im in a force field. Thanks again

As I say in the tutorial – if you use fractal noise for a displacement map, it MUST be precomposed.

I have an example of a heat shimmer effect in the files for part 1.
