DeInterlacing PAL footage.

Hello Alan.

Well this for me is a tricky subject, I’ve ended up using Magic Bullete a few hours ago, it takes roughly 1 hour per 1 min of footage !!! [just pure deinterlacing].
Both are VERY easy to set up and use, however I saw that bullet was giving me better results somehow BUT I am going to do the same process through fieldskit because im very sure its capable.
The problem with MB is that it can make some VERY odd patterns with surfaces such as tarmac, or grass, I could only see these pattern when I paused it for a single frame within after effects.

I’ll try and upload a photo somewhere to show you guys the difference between, MB,FK and original.

I’d love to know the difference in render times as I’ve read another guy (somewhere on Creative Cow) who swears by FieldsKit and says its at least as good as MB…. (that interface looks kind of scary tho’)
