    The cost of living in Winnipeg is notoriously low. I bought a 5 bedroom house, 1500 sq feet for $220K a few months ago.

    This is a lesson for the OP, there is no industry standard, so many things to take int account. Living in Winnipeg is a lot cheaper than living in Vancouver, so rates are lower here.

    I think that’s what a yearly parking space costs in NYC. You can’t even get a 600 sq foot studio apartment in an outer borough for that price.

    It may be in all seriousness. As the post world avails itself of high speed uncapped bandwidth (where that’s possible of course), hiring out of town may become more common. Of course production is a bit more of “it depends” because one either has to “fake a location” or travel. We do see the former when cities like Toronto double for NYC.
