Help!! I recently downloaded Davinci Resolv 18.5 on Windows, the program simply does not show files, photos or videos. I thought that the problem might be in the file format, I tried a bunch of methods, but none of the formats I tried worked, even mp4 or mov. Davinci sort of reads the files, shows how many seconds it lasts, etc. but the image is simply not shown. If anyone knows how to solve this problem, I would be very grateful.

If you are using the free version, the files may not be supported.

UHD, HDR, log footage, etc., for the most part is not supported in the free version.

You may need to upgrade to the Studio version.

There are a few codecs not supported in the free but in fact the free version supports lots of codecs. You can find a list on the Blackmagic Design Web site in the support pages. mp4 wrapper usually implies H264 codec and that is supported in all versions. jpg, png are supported but sometimes Tiffs don’t display but if it is showing the clip in the media pool then it should display on the free version. If you tell us what the codec is that isn’t displaying that might help. The other issue is whether your computer meets minimum specification and the operating system is up to date enough for 18.5. Resolve expects a minimum specification for GPU, RAM etc
