June 17, 2013 at 9:49 pmWhen I was searching for an easier way to do this I found a website where somebody had already created a preset for making Cover Flow type animations.
Here’s the link: https://ae.tutsplus.com/tutorials/workflow/how-to-use-the-amazing-free-new-preset-cover-flow/
I know it won’t help anyone in this chain, but I figured it might help the next person who comes across this issue.
Watch the tutorial. If you follow all the instructions it should make it pretty easy.

January 14, 2014 at 12:00 pmCould someone please explain what is happening in the last part of that expression: angle= …?
I understand the angle is going to be based on the calculations in the ( ). I don’t understand how the three “calculations” c+d,c+r,c-r relate/translate to the 90,-90
Rather than me confuse matters by trying to explain what I think I understand, could someone dumb it down for me please?
I tried reading this, but my brain started dripping out my ears: https://help.adobe.com/en_US/AfterEffects/9.0/WS3878526689cb91655866c1103906c6dea-7a06a.html

January 14, 2014 at 5:19 pmIt reads this way: as center+distance varies from center+range to center-range, vary the output of linear() from 90 to -90. linear() just remaps one set of values to another.
