But the actual video he released here is priceless; we haven’t see Randy Ubilos or others presenting the evolution of NLEs like this, AFAIK.
I grew up visiting Walter Murch at Zoetrope, post “The Conversation,” to discuss editing “old school.” I ran an upright Moviola, a flatbed Moviola, a Steenbeck, a KEM. I began seeing still images of EditDroid. Then seemingly out of nowhere I was plunked down in front of an Avid.
So this connection to David’s pioneering work is super-groovy! This is the kind of behind-the-scenes history I treasure!
