Audio Mixing/Effects are professional.

Best effects quality. PPro has basic stuff, but not enough for a professional mix. No NLE does. They are NLEs not Audio specialist programs.

Soundbooth is based on Audition, but not got a multi-track editing/mixing/BUSrouting 5.1 surround sound mixing in an uncompressed WAV format.

Look it up. well worth the spend – which isn’t much really.

Jon, is Audition able to import AAF from Premiere?

I love mixing audio with Sony Vegas. I export project from Premiere as AAF (without embedding, which causes PPro to crash), then importing this AAF into Vegas, This retains all video tracks, cuts, and gives you most flexibility for sound editing.
