February 15, 2012 at 11:34 pmI’m sure BM is sitting there watching these third party companies get a $1500 gravy train off their $995 product (or free for the Lite). How many peeps would be spending the $1500 if it wasn’t for Resolve.

February 17, 2012 at 7:50 pmNo need to imagine it. This app is called Smoke.
And if Autodesk finally manages to incorporate Lustre into Smoke, then that would be THE finishing app. -

February 18, 2012 at 1:23 amIt would be great if they offered a more affordable grading panel. I would be very interested in it.
Although I am still hoping that they will add support for the Tangent CP100 board (Which is a great board).
I hope they do NOT buy Avid. Unlike what Margus says, I think Avid is great and the best editor out there. Sure there are things they can do better at, but I don’t think Blackmagic is the solution here. A free version of Avid is not going to yield a better editing experience. I’m still waiting on Blackmagic for Resolve fixes from version 7.0.
