Considering the SPX-800

Hi!

My station owns a SPX-800.

Is there a way to plug the camera into our Mac using FireWire and have it show-up on the desktop as a hard drive? We would like to drag-and-drop files from the cards to our hard drives.

Right now we’re capturing footage the traditional way, rolling the footage then recording in real time in FCP.

Also, are there any user groups for the SPX-800?
