September 13, 2007 at 9:25 pmI produce DUI and Click IT or Ticket ads in Alaska. We were recently informed we need to include Closed Captioning in our ads (not captions). What is the best way to include Closed Captioning? I edit with Premiere Pro 2 and have Encore and After Effects as well. The folks at one of the local affiliates told me it is included during editing and is interlaced into the video. Our TVs decode it.
Thanks…Justin

March 2, 2010 at 7:23 pmWe have a closed captioning service that can send us a text file. Do we upload that text file into Encore to create DVD’s with captioning?

May 11, 2010 at 1:17 pmJust like “alaskajf”, I also have to do CC for broadcasting. I used to do it in AVID with a simple program that created JPEG images, but now I have to use CS 4’s Premiere Pro. Tha program won’t work with Premiere. What do I do? To confirm…I need to encode the text on line 21 (not subtitles!)
Thanks folks.
