Changing Attributes in Multiple Text Clips

Thank you Andreas for the great explanation.

One quirky thing happened though. On all text (in my case subtitles), that the “batch font change” (we can call it) was executed, in other words all subs imported as an .xml, I am no longer able to modify them.

It’s wild.

I can go into ‘Controls’ and edit the text, size, whatever, but the changes are never reflected in either the ‘Video’ tab or the ‘Canvas’.

I can save, shut off the computer, turn it back on, re-open FCP and the project, and the text edits I made in the ‘Controls’ tab will still be there…and the ‘Video’ and ‘Canvas’ will still show the orginal text pre-edit (that was imported as .xml).

Tried trashing prefs, opening a new project and copying them in, everything I could think of.

Worth mentioning that all subs that I didn’t import as .xml are functioning fine.

Any thoughts?
