[Aaron Cadieux] “You have every right in the world to produce your show. As long as you employ your own formula for the show, you’re all set. Don’t listen to anyone telling you to “lawyer up”, and save your hard-earned money. “

    Aaron,

True. He has every right in the world… but anyone can sue anyone for anything. If the opposing party goes beyond just a “threat” to sue, and actually obtains a restraining order, then yes, it’s time to “lawyer up” and defend his rights to produce the show.

I’d stil not lawyer up for this one. Sometimes old school really is best. Part of what is wrong with our system is our drone behavior getting in line to waiste more money with stuff like this. When told we have to do something, we often sigh and do it… we learned it from mom and dad. In this case, I’d drive back out to Morse Mill and take a certain drunk marine to dinner, spend 40 bucks and leave having had a pretty good time and warm conversation. That beats the hell out of wearing a tie standing in an ugly expensive building with old white guys watching adults waiste tax payer money so they can squabble over footage shot for fun.
It’s no wonder we adults make no sense to kids, man. We freakin make no sense.

Why not send her a Cease and Desist letter of your own? There are dozens of them on the web you can copy.

You hang in there, stick to your guns. Every one has a hand out these days. Go ahead with the
third and fourth, and fifth episode. She is just money hungry and wants something for nothing.
You have the right to do what you want. The last time I checked, this is still for now a free America. You go for it dude.

This is the problem with To many Ghost hunters with Lawyers & Video Gear! You still should consult with a Lawyer, This person can sue you, also make sure you speak to the right type of Lawyer (not the slip & fall type) a little money now can save you a lot later

And I’ve got a really really good one here in Atlanta, actually the whole firm. I’m going through an I.P. legal situation right now and these folks are definitely the type of people I want on my side.

Thanks, all. I really don’t anticipate hearing from either of them again.
It’s starting to look like after spending so much time in there, that first crew just was not able to make anything of the footage. I think they have been spending time making things perhaps not as real as what my footage shows and were afraid my footage would make theirs less valuable in some way.
Whatever the case, I produced 2 episodes in a month where they could not make one episode in 4 months time. That’s no legal issue. That’s envy.
They should have just called and asked if I freelance.

thanks man. Inspired by them, I polished this one into a fine sizzle reel. Episode 2 begins at 20 minutes in, if ya wanna skip to it:

This one has legs, as they say. I dare say it will sell before Moddin’ Art, a show I have more than 20 years in now.

    Hey Grinner Hester,
The woman is a blundering idiot, she is way off her rocker. She can’t claim squat. She needs to grow up before we Pro’s in this business like yourself included eat her lunch and feed it back to her. She has not got the money to claim the claims she is trying to make. Hollywood would spit out after using her for chewing gum. You just keep up the good work.

She can’t do anything since he already has the Pilot edited and ready, that means he owns the copyright, I just went trhu this on protecting my own show, in Federal Court. The one with the Pilot ready first owns the copyright, and that is a fact.
