Capturing footage at home

Isn’t one of the perks of Quicktime 7 that you can capture directly via quicktime?

I dunno wether this will allow for TC, but it might be worth a try.

Apparently footage captured via QT7 can’t be imported into FCP. I have heard of many people that tried, and weren’t able to get it to do so.

Not really. It meant for people who want to capture footage from their camera and put onto the web or a DVD.

If you want to capture footage for FCP…use FCP.
