December 10, 2007 at 3:46 pmSorry to add a post without being able to support your situation, DRW. We use Capture Now alomst daily with VHS tapes, DVDs from a player, cameras, other video sources like scan convertors, and mics all coming in as uncontrollable devices through our dsr11 or dsr45.
Everything is up to date including QT7.3+ but we’re still on Tiger.Hope you get it figured out, just glad I don’t have that issue right now.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”

Of course I’m actually happy you abd Kevin are not having this issue. Thankfully the “very difficult fix” entails setting just one In and just one Out point, then hitting a different button, i.e Clip rather than Capture Now. I think I can handle that, although it does require that I shuttle the through the entire tape. Oh heavens!!! There goes some of my profit…

December 11, 2007 at 1:46 pm[Uli Plank] “My assumption is that FCP compares the number of audio samples with the TC after a batch capture and fixes it somehow, while capture now doesn’t.”
[David Roth Weiss] “I think you’ve got it Uli. Its why capturing as a clip or even recapturing the bad file produces a proper capture. ”
I think You guys are right. I am Batch Capturing right now from DSR-11 with FCP 6.0.2 and between the clips FCP showed a text: “Analysing DV Audio; Validating Audio Data”
