    Jason,

Thanks. I’m going to save your suggestion and share it with my IT guy, because I believe that if I had had more time, I could have avoided a re-install.

My IT guy did a clean reinstall of Compressor this morning, and the problem is solved. It took him about an hour. It would have taken me half a day!

The clean install process for Compressor is clearly described on the Apple support website, so what do you think that tells you!

Thank you to you, Jason and to everybody for all your help. I find this group invaluable.

    I declare this issue solved.

    Regards to all,

    Barry

I am also having this issue of not being able to Submit from Compressor, however my versions match (Apple Q Master and Compressor are each Version 3.5). I recently did a re-install of my entire Final Cut Studio for other reasons, after the re-install discovered this issue. Any help – suggestions?

    Thanks!

Have just run into the same problem and fixed it very quickly by reinstalling AppleQmaster (on second level of FCP Studio Pro Install Disc 1 (the white disc).

Had not used Compressor for a while and am guessing a system overhaul a few weeks ago for an unrelated problem entailing complete removal of cache among other trashings, likely killed a few critical elements.

Compressor Repair 2.2.2 did highlight a qmaster daemon as missing; a handy clue.

Just chiming in here to say that Compressor Repair 2.2.7 worked like a charm for me.

Like others in this thread, I’m running Compressor and Qmaster 3.5.3, and one day the final “Submit” button in Compressor was inexplicably greyed out. I spent a couple hours researching and trying minor changes with no luck.

Then I went ahead and downloaded Compressor Repair 2.2.7, ran it with both “Trash Preferences” and “Reset Window Layout” selected, and a minute later Compressor was back to working perfectly with all my custom settings and destinations in-tact.

If your circumstances are like mine, save yourself some pain and try this solution sooner rather than later.
