I can’t stress to much how important it is to avoid peak levels going close to zero. Compression like aac or mp3 and back to aif can cause those peaks to be misread resulting in clipping or clicks.

I never use GB but can you export aif or wav not aac?

    Only AAC and MP3.

Import audio and MIDI files with the Files app in the control bar, then tap Files. Tap “Browse items from the Files app,” then locate and tap an audio or MIDI file to import it. To preview an audio file, tap it in the list.
When you import a multitrack MIDI file, GarageBand creates a new Keyboard track for each track in the MIDI file. The total number of resulting tracks cannot exceed 32 tracks. You cannot add multitrack MIDI files to cells in Live Loops.
