So far as I can see on the Anandtech site, they seem to be keeping a rein on their enthusiasm: demos run by intel rather than product benchmarked by anyone else? Again, so far as I can see the demos were all single-core vs Athlon64, rather than looking at multiprocessor opteron systems.

It looks like we’re still several months away from Conroe launch. It’ll be great if the speed comes through as promised. No doubt AMD will do nothing while Intel catches up !
