June 5, 2008 at 5:39 pmToo much Too soon has a free “Mosaic” filter, which is better than blur ’cause it looks more like “Cops”. It’s what you want to use with Colin’s Technique. Add the filter to the masked V2 clip. Bingo.

October 20, 2008 at 9:28 pmThis technique worked solid, and only took me 5 minutes to get working the way I wanted. No extra plugins needed, just straight up masking and motion effects. Nice one…

December 16, 2009 at 7:52 pmhi. i m bluring some areas(like smoking scenes) for a movie. its gonna be too long to make at motion(movie length: 01:35:00:00). and in fcp joes soft elipse keyframe system is not very usefull to blur hole smokin scenes. sometimes u r bluring image frame by frame. and its realy makes a video editor nervous :). and this video editor’s only work is bluring some areas of movies(i m gonna kill myself:)). is there any plug in for this situation? if there s no plug in, i advice plugin makers to do this plugin. in turkey all tv channels and production studios wants an easy way to do it. becouse all film’s which have smoking scenes in history must be blured for to show the movie at tv.
thanks…
