someone once got the name of the actual fastmac drive.
you can purchase it stand alone for less from another vendor.
I have a panasonic 4x in my pc that i paid 399 for.

Same reason. They’re taking advantage of Mac users who don’t know any better.
Find me one example of any Blu-ray drive ever made not working in a Mac. You won’t. They all work. Just like all SATA hard drives work. Just like all USB keyboards work and all LCD monitors work.

indeed.
Apple wanted over $ 2,000 for a 4GB memory upgrade kit
for a G5 dual at one time and I got the same memory at another place
for $ 250.
