Blackmagic cards will handle ingesting and outputting from BetaCam to FCP perfectly. They are less expensive than Kona cards, and for that you get much less customer service – but the cards themselves are very well made and for your purposes should be trouble free. Just make sure you get one of the cards that handles component video.
