April 25, 2011 at 1:23 pmYep, I had this issue and found that if you leave the system to get on while it ingest then you’re fine.
I still prefer Log and Capture as it is the only way you can add Reel Names and Timecode to your clips.

Gary, unless Ive misunderstood your last post, you do know that the EOS Log and Transfer plugin allows you to add both reel name and TC to your clip when injestting, right? Its the only 5D/7D workflow that does this to my knowledge.

April 26, 2011 at 10:48 pmDo you know that if you do ANYTHING inside while Log and Transfer is working…such as start naming clips, or looking at footage, that L&T pauses the transfer process? So if you do this enough, the pausing might just cause the clip to stop transferring…thus cutting it short.
Try the L&T process but leaving the machine alone while it does it…see what happens.
