[Ben Northenor] “Is it hard to put an E-Sata drive in? “

Not really. You just need to follow the instruction manual that comes with the array you buy. If you are not comfortable opening up your tower and inserting PCI cards and/or Hard Drives into it, you may want to look into having someone do it for you. But it really isn’t that difficult. Just be sure to put the cards exactly where the instructions tell you to put it. If you run into a conflict, like both your capture card and port multiplier card need to be in the same place, it is best to call customer support to help you work through it. Some instructions will give you alternate slot spots for these situations.

As you can see, you can go up to 16TB (4TB per unit, up to 4 units) if you want to spend that much. Depends on your needs. I bought a 2TB unit at first. Then quickly out grew it and bought a 4TB unit. Will soon repopulate the 2TB unit to 4TB then stripe it with the other 4TB that I have.

*** This particular RAID array wont work with G5’s. Only intel Mac Pro’s. There are many out there, so make sure any that you look at will work with your G5 tower.
