This 3D style…tips on creating please.
I have a small personal project i am working on where I am currently trying to create a simple dog bone that is shaped from other 2D dog bones. The first thing I tried was with textures, and a 2D dog bone image weaved together. Doesn’t quite give the 3D look even when applied to a 3D dog bone.
So then I started making a spline dog bone and extruded it a little for depth. Then started painfully knifing it up and then using a Bend deformer. A real pain to use for me.
Anyway, I have a great example to show that illustrate the concept I am going for….this Sherwin Williams commercial included is pretty darn close to what I am thinking. I would like some opinions and insight on how people think this style is approached. What would be your general procedure and chosen tools? Not necessarily the animation, but the modeling is what I’m focused on. Thank you all!
