Audio phase cancellation on output to betacam/ any easy fix?

September 10, 2009 at 6:38 pmI believe I’m having a phase issue as well, and cannot figure out how to reverse phase from within the edit timeline. I believe this is what the original poster was wondering as well. Somehow the conversation seemed to have drifted over to hardware fixes.
I know that in audio NLE’s it’s usually a pretty simple audio effect, but I couldn’t find it in Final Cut. I tried sending it to Soundtrack pro, and they have a phase analysis feature, and then you can “Fix” the phase, but I’m not sure if the program is actually reversing the phase.
Can anyone help me with this?
And can anyone also suggest the best way to transport files between the two programs? Right now, I’m sending the clip to soundtrack pro, and then saving the file and importing it back into final cut after it’s saved. It seems like there would be an easier way to do the re-import back into final cut–some way that would keep the syncing of the audio and video intact.
Thanks ahead of time,
