May 13, 2006 at 1:02 amCould it be missing conformed audio? What happens if you reimport the audioclip and place the reimported clip on the timeline? Any waveform then? If so, then maybe you could try and delete the conformed audio folder, to force premiere to reconform the audio.
I hope this problem gets fixed in some way or another.

May 15, 2006 at 9:10 pmYeah I tried that already and it doesent work, infact I dont think it conforms at all, even when I import the orginal footage into a new project no conforming occours (folder is empty) but the audio is there.
As for Smartsound, I don`t have that plugin…
This problem is really getting to me as I can’t work and the deadline is fat approching 🙁

May 15, 2006 at 9:27 pmThank God I finally cracked this one and it was as simple as a few clicks of the mouse, it just so happens that when you right click on the file in the project window and go to interprat footage the waveforms and sound magicly reappear for that file 🙂

May 18, 2006 at 12:16 pmHello,
I’ve had the same problem. For me it occured when I imported a quicktime movie (with audio) that was rendered in After Effects. Suddenly no audio would play out of Premiere at all and I had to re-import the old project into a new one to get things working again. Restarting Premiere and the system made no difference which makes me think this is a Premiere issue rather than a Quicktime one.
Perhaps it could be related to this “conforming audio” process that Premiere seems obsessed with??
