October 15, 2012 at 1:21 amI am deciding between the studio pro or production switcher. Could someone tell me if there are any other reasons to prefer than the production switcher other than it including analog sound in and having several more video inputs I don’t really need more than four video inputs, but I do need the analog sound in. I can get the sound in with the ultramatch pro for much cheaper than the more expensive blackmagic switcher. What a great forum. Thank you!

October 17, 2012 at 6:38 pmHey Doug, I am trying to do something similar for my church. We currently are recording everything with outdated analog equipment which is cheap but ends up with low res videos. Have you been using the BMD ATEM switcher for switching and recording services?

April 16, 2013 at 11:34 pmYour PC must be running at least windows 7 64 bit, so at least an i3 which you can get for $300 to $500. I use a lenovo with a i5 processor.
and hdmi to component adapters with audio inputs to get sound into the atem, don’t forget to get an audio delay like the “lipsync corrector” from av tools or sescom to fix the audio delay. I found this method because we needed to use the hdmi to component and component to hdmi adapters for our long (50 ft)cable runsMike
