Thanks very much for the replies.

So if DV is the delivery medium QT Full Quality is the highest codec that it is worthwhile using, ie animation codecs produce huge file sizes with no perceptible improvement of quality. Are there situations where DV footage can make use of the animation codec, where the delivery medium makes a difference?

Does anyone here use the highest quality animation codec regardless?

Also any tips on setting keyframes in the animation codec options, the Apple site says “A low number (such as every 10 frames) creates a better-quality movie with a larger file size.”

What constitutes a ‘larger file size”?

    Thanks!

    Rene
