    Is the graphic rendered as progressive frames? It should be rendered with frames set to lower.

    also as you note the 23.98 should be 29.97.

    Ive tried rendering it to lower, upper, none….same issue…Im really thinking its the frame rate, although ive gotten stuff like this before in FCP5 and never had this issue.

    I was going to say it the file is 23.98 instead of 23.976. Is your timeline frame rate 23.98?

    But the graphics is 23.98? There’s your problem. FCP does not add pulldown correctly when adding 23.98 material to a 29.97 timeline.

    For experimental purpose:

    Have you tried to make the AE render progressive?

    If the motion in FCP is smooth now you have confirmed deinterlacing as the issue.

    Thks, I figured it was the frame rate….I had them send me the AE projects and i will export them.
