July 1, 2008 at 9:22 pm[Walter Biscardi, Jr.] We only use the breakout box on all our Konas as it’s just a lot easier and more robust than a snake of cables.
I was looking at the photos of your edit bays on your website. When you use Anthro furniture have you used their 1, 3, or 9 U rack mounts?
Thanks. Jesus.

I would highly recommend the $300 breakout box. The system will be less likely to endure damage using the Kbox vs a direct connection to the I/O board, but be weary that even with the Kbox, problems can be had for those not using proper practices or caution.
Better to replace a $300 Kbox than a $2500 Kona card. In addition you will get the analog ports that you might find very useful. Sorry can’t recommend the mounting as all our clients install in full racks.
Cheers,
Ramona
