Absolutely. If going 10bit it’s the only way to go and there won’t be any aliasing. You will need an SDI cable, and rs422 cable for deck control, though.
We used to work in dv50 a lot and finishing in 10bit looked great for the format.

May 18, 2011 at 5:40 pmSDI cable (via AJA) vs firewire did the trick. Don’t know why it didn’t do a good job via firewire the first time, but now I know.
