These 2 companies parted ways 2(3?) years ago. Apple writes the core Io drivers, AJA now writes all of the rest of their code and apps.

The current AJA products and software have been used at the Superbowl, NBA Finals, the World Series, Nascar, you see AJA products (Kona 2 mostly) every weekend when you watch live sports on tv.
There not much less forgiving than Live TV.
