January 18, 2006 at 2:28 pmYep, that’s about right.
What are you considering? Jumping platforms to avoid paying for Motion? Depending on your current software investment, that might not be financially wise. 🙂
I have both AE and FC Studio on Mac, which is fortuitous since a client just asked me to deliver a piece as a Motion project. Voila!

January 18, 2006 at 3:13 pmI’m sure the other things we all want will come in time. My worry is, I pay now and, at NAB Adobe announces another update with actual new features. It use to be that AE updates were few and far between but well worth it. I’m wondering if that is changing.
If I had 3 bills I would just get Shake and know that its getting full support for my platform, is integrated into the workflow of my other applications and has the features I need.

January 18, 2006 at 5:00 pmNothing as drastic as jumping platforms 🙂
As a photography student who dabbles in web design and animation I have to get CS2, Studio 8, AE and FC Studio, so I end up with a lot of software I dont need in addition to that which I do (then again I do get it somewhat cheaper, so I can’t complain too heavily 🙂 ) Production studio would have consolidated 3 of those items into 1.
Thanks for the clarification.
