August 20, 2021 at 12:02 amI wonder if Michael Cioni will stick around.
Been a fan since I met him at the FCPX unveiling.

August 20, 2021 at 12:50 amFor FCP users (and other non-Adobe users). My guess is raising subscription prices for non-Adobe users, focus on Adobe integration over others, and possibly dropping support of non-Adobe products at some future point.

August 20, 2021 at 1:06 amI wonder how many of the ‘over a million users’ of Frame.io are Adobe users? If they block other NLEs integration then they are likely to shed customers.

August 20, 2021 at 11:56 amMichael – There are plenty of users who never use the integration. Frame is far more versatile when you don’t use the various NLE integrations, IMHO. So you can (and always have been able to) use Frame by itself, even if you never touched an NLE.

August 23, 2021 at 1:07 pmFrame.io being independent was agile.
Frame.io being thrown into the Adobe ocean I think that will go away.
I use PP, AE and Frame.io everyday. While there have been some times when Frame.io has been down for a few hours and even a day, I have not thought of changing from Frame.io
With where Adobe has been going (or not going) with Premiere my thoughts of moving to another app occur pretty frequently.

August 23, 2021 at 3:47 pmSince I use numerous NLEs I don’t use any of the frame io integration options.
I’m old school and treat it like Dropbox 🙂
