Adobe Premiere CS6 Thumbnail View Refresh?

I have the same problem with Premier Pro CC 2014. The thumbnails and waveforms on my project sequence refresh constantly every time I hit play, stop, zoom in, zoom out, cut etc.. Its like a christmas tree, it blinks almost every time I perform an action in the timeline sequence. Even watching my edit the performance is lagging, no fluid play.

Have anyone out there experience the same as I? I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

I found a solution – I binned Premiere because it’s just too unreliable for critical work and the whole editing experience is frustrating.

I feel you… this pice of software as today, its to unreliable, the glitches are too many. What should we explain to a client? That we can’t deliver on time because of a software that it suppose to be for professionals is not working properly? Sorry is not a option, you deliver or not. Our jobs, profession and reputation are in stake at here. If this continue as it is, I will abandon ships too.

The problem I’m having is paying $50 a month for issues that are never addressed. With a subscription based service touted by fast updates and the latest and greatest from Adobe without having to buy a new release every other year, I expect routine evaluations and responses from the manufacture addressing the issues that plague their customers. Their idea is good… but their lack of response sucks.

I think this is a codec related problem.

In my case:

The Projects and Time Line Sequences with DSLR H.264.mov footage are almost impossible to work with because of the Thumbnail Refresh BUG.

The Projects with ProRes media, on the other hand, don’t show it or is not that evident.

Could you guys do some test and verified this?

Im sorry, this is not true. The Refresh bug is still alive and kicking.

Any solutions, fix, something…?

I’m another user just discovered this problem.
For what its worth everyone, please do post these problems to Adobe directly via their official requests page: https://www.adobe.ly/BugReport. I have just done that on this issue.

I am still experiencing this issue.

Basically, when I navigate to a project bin that contains video media in thumbnail view. The thumbnails have to load, and I have to scrub through the media bin for them to all load. They go from ‘grey’ no thumbnail to loading up the proper thumbnail.

Throughout the day i’ll be moving between different bins and at some point i’ll navigate back to one of the original bins I was working in, and once again the thumbnails are no longer loaded and I have to manually scrub the entire bin to have them load up.

It’s as if there is no thumbnail cache? Why can’t thumbnails load for all clips in the project, when the project is opened. I have written to Adobe as a bug report.
