I have no problem at all embedding Metadata in .mp4 files. I’m able to look up the AE project my clip was created in, add keywords, as well as add my copyright metadata from a template created in Bridge. Have you tried adding Metadata to a .mp4 file? If it hasn’t worked for you, try right-clicking the clip in Bridge, and choosing “Purge Cache for Selection” – this usually brings back the capability. You can also do this for multiple selected files. Maybe it depends on the flavor of .mp4, and the fact that the MP4 is a container, and can have a number of audio, video, or subtitle streams inside. Just guessing…
